If you want to learn how to paint a “cat-like” face, then this article will show you how. Specifically, we’re going to talk about what you’ll need to do this, how to paint the nose, the eyes, and the all-important whiskers! By the time you’ve finished reading this article, you’ll have a good idea of how to make your own cat designs which will delight children of all ages. I got my insperation from my own cat one day when she was drinking from this cat water fountain. Her whiskers stood out and I tried to copy them the best I could.

Let’s start by taking a look at what you’ll need. You’ll be pleased to discover that this simple design can be done using the basics of make up, such as eyeliner, blusher and lipstick. However, it is usually better to use professional face painting products if you can. You’ll also need sponges and face painting brushes.

STEP 1 – Painting the Nose:

The first (and usually the easiest) part to paint is the nose.  Start by painting the tip with a light pink or white color. You can also use a darker color (like black) if you desire. Make sure you fully cover the tip, as well as underneath the nose.

STEP 2 – Painting the Eyes:

Next, it’s time to paint the eyes. Use a dark, shadow-like color over the eye lid and just around the eyes. You can also use a different color around the eyes and towards the eyebrows for a different effect.

STEP 3 – Painting the Whiskers:

Finally, we come to the whiskers. This is a crucial and distinctive part of any cat face painting design. Make sure to paint at least 3 whiskers using eyeliner or paint – and use dark colors. Feel free to add any extra details, because there’s a lot of room for your own personal touch!

To summarize, this article has shown you the 3 main aspects of painting a cat-like face for a child (or adult!) Now that you have read this article, you should be able to create your own basic design without too much practice.
